Bremmstrahlung released!
A new arcade game with a slightly vaporwave aesthetic - Bremmstrahlung takes inspiration from the physical phenomenon by which a particle that sharply turns or decelerates emits a burst of light. As it turns out, in fact, the correct spelling for that is bremsstrahlung, but I'm afraid while I can fix the text in-game, the name on the page will have to stay the same...
Anyway, it's a minimalistic arcade game. I mostly used this project as a way to train myself, using a very simple core concept, on how to produce a full package for a game - with a menu system, options, music and so on. The final part was somewhat tedious, but very instructive. I used Unity and I gained both understanding and useful recyclable assets from this work. Still, I might update it with new levels or mechanics if there's feedback!
I've done all the graphics and programming. The font used is Jason Kottke's Silkscreen and music has been taken from the Free Music Archive, from Mystery Mammal - Latent (LATENCY and Xanadon't) and from Anonymous 420 - CORNER DOT COM (Overtime matrix and Cowork Party Time). That's all! I'll update if I plan to develop anything new.
